The Factory of the Arts is a place in the historical centre of Naples, venue of exhibitions, internships and meetings, an experimental laboratory where artists and designers project and realize with artisans from Campania artistic products and objects. A brand which is born from the search for new languages, between art and design, willing to hold a dialogue and to become well-known in an international context. The site, in the middle of the ancient city, suggests a different relationship between the artisan culture, its memory and its present, which is still so lively in Naples, and the creativity of contemporary art and thought. In the Factory of the Arts it is possible, in special circumstances, to observe artists and artisans at work, engaged with various techniques and materials, from ceramics to mosaic, from metal to wood, from glass to engraving. The presence of artists who also come from far cultural realities finds expression both through the productive activity and through exhibitions, expositions, internships and meetings. Among the other projects, a sort of school, similar to the one that was realized in the ancient art workshops, able to ignite interest and pride in the young ones, who in the Factory of the Arts can learn precious crafts. Due to its own position, the Factory of the Arts enters the major artistic and cultural itineraries of the city. Its strategic position, in relation to some of the most important attractions of cultivated tourism - Archaeological Museum, Madre Museum, Fine Arts Academy, Botanical Garden - offers a chance to open a debate and an exchange with the most prestigious products and places in the Neapolitan artistic heritage.
