On Friday, October 7 at 6,30 pm it starts Chi, the first personal exhibition by Gianluigi Masucci, young artist of performing and classic arts throughout many different languages: paintings, dibond, paper-sheet, video-art.

The Factory of the Arts has put its final goal from the start, to open an active space dedicated to young artists invited to work in place. This exhibition is the first result of the encounter with the younger generations that, through experimentation with new languages on different materials, can offer suggestions and readings to open new scenarios.

Stefania Zuliani, in the presentation of the exhibition, describes the work done by Masucci in these words: "This is a stretch, a subjective time, with no history and no direction (a range of times, actually), that with patience alarmed Gianluigi Maria Masucci records in his latest works. Scriptures of signs - lines of force, unique characters, notes, dance and light - and the thought that the hand of the artist in order linear sequences, in theory, however, irregular and music, processions of figures and tensions that unfold, now thicker, now more relaxed and distracted, declining an unfinished and therefore never deciphered script of the body, poised between perception and naked emotion, analysis and insight".

Graduated at the Academy of Fin e Arts of Naples, Gianluigi Maria Masucci (Naples 1981) is a multifaceted personality who has done numerous training activities, ranging across painting, photography, from video to installations, performance and theater. He has had numerous experiences of experimentation, both television and theater, as actor and assistant director. He has participated in numerous festivals, exhibitions and competitions and was awarded at "video.it 2010" organized by Artegiovane Foundation in collaboration with Jai, Merz Foundation and DOCVA. His research focuses on the contemporary relationships between human beings and what springs from it, materialized through hybrid forms of expression found on the border between the visual languages. Currently following a Master of specialization in Film Direction at the Film Indigo.

For the vernissage, it will be screened in the square a video made by the author with the young photographer Valeria Del Vacchio, in which they are marked the path of transformation of forms and the concept of identity investigated by Masucci over the past two years.

The exhibition will be open until 11 November 2011, Monday to Friday from 11.00 am to 6.00 pm. The event is part of the Seventh Day of Contemporary Art, sponsored by AMACI - Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums.
