Fabbrica delle Arti is a place in the historical centre of Naples, venue of exhibitions, internships and meetings, an experimental laboratory where artists and designers project and realize with artisans from Campania artistic products and objects. A brand which is born from the search for new languages, between art and design, willing to hold a dialogue and to become well-known in an international context.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, the artist Mojmir Ježek has designed for the Factory of the Arts in Naples an Italian flag inspired by the unmistakable style of his hearts. Made from chocolate confectioner Gennaro Bottone, the work will be on sale at the store Dolce Idea from Thursday, March 10 at a cost of 18 €. At the shop Dolce Idea of Via Chiaia in Naples it will also be in a video that documents the entire route taken.
This creation is the first in a series of Ježek hearts in chocolate edition signed by the Factory of the Arts for the construction of a new appointment with the project of the Community Food and Crafts, which is conducting in collaboration with the association Slow Food. The exhibition, curated by Giuseppe Laurino, will be inaugurated on Thursday, April 7 at 6:30 pm at the Factory of the Arts and it will be entitled Hearts & Crafts - Matters of the Heart. The protagonists are the declinations of the hearts of Ježek in manufacturing excellence of chocolate and textiles.
Mojmir Ježek worked as a cartoonist and illustrator for the Republic and is known to the general public for the heading "Matters of the heart" by Natalia Aspesi with whom he collaborated from 1995 to the weekly magazine of La Repubblica on Friday.
