On Friday, December 10 2010 at 7 pm at Factory of the Arts of Naples it starts the second edition of Arts and Crafts Supermarket, dedicated for this year to the theme Souvenir and Manufactures. The exhibition will proceed until January, 8 2011, from tuesday to saturday, from 10,30 am to 1,00 pm and from 3,30 pm to 6,00 pm. In 2009 the Factory of the Arts settled in their Laboratory an exhibition with little manufactures among art and craft collaborating with MIAAO (International Museum of Applicated Arts Today) of Turin. In this second edition, the laboratory who involves artists and designers deepened the theme of identity who links an artistic product to the territory throughout its manufactures, realizing souvenir with workshops of our Region just linkes to the project of Factory of the Arts. The exhibition will include tools for food made from Cotto Rufoli of Salerno, clothes for the table produced by fashion designer and a limited edition of nougat chocolate biscuits for the Author of San Marco dei Cavoti (Benevento) in partnership with Slow Food Tammaro - Fortore. During the opening ceremony, a workshop for textile manufacture coordinated by Giusi Laurino and Roberto Liberti, will work on the production of some products made with materials acquired from the Neapolitan shirt traditional factories. Slow Food Napoli celebrates also Terra Madre Day (event spread simultaneously in 153 countries around the world to enhance local food producers and restaurateurs virtuous), setting up a demonstration of manual skills in the preparation of some traditional "street food" of Naples, such as fried pizza, pastacresciuta and crocchè enriched by some Presìda (food products protected by the risk of extinction) and cooked by Enzo Piccirillo by La Masardona. The initiative promoted by the Factory of the Arts is coordinated by the Naples Slow Food Convivium Leader, Giuseppe Mandarano and the head of Presìdia in Campania and Basilicata, Vito Trotta.
For the entire period of the Arts and Crafts and Supermarket and until January 14 with the new schedule also shows Chung Eun-Mo's exhibition, opened on October 17.
