Renato Barisani (Napoli, 1918) conducts a rigid and strict abstract research on linguistic codes and materials through sculpture, painting, collage, photography, mosaics, ceramics, jewellery, design. Playing an important role in Gruppo Sud and Gruppo Napoletano Arte Concreta, he also participates in the activities of M.A.C. of Milan, of the Gruppo Espace and the corporate Geometria e Ricerca. From 1978 to 1984 he was Professor of Design at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Naples. In 1993 he was decorated with the Pollock Prize.
